WILDCATS COMPLETE HISTORIC ROAD COMEBACK, TURN ATTENTION TO NO. 10 LSU

COLUMBIA, SC - Kentucky found a way when it mattered most Saturday, leaving Williams-Brice Stadium with a 35-34 overtime win over South Carolina and improving to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in SEC play.
The Wildcats had to earn this one. South Carolina jumped out to a 17-0 lead, but Kentucky worked its way back into the game and eventually took a 24-20 lead in the third quarter. After the Gamecocks regained the advantage, Adam Zouagui tied the game at 27 with a field goal to force overtime.
Kenny Minchey delivered one of his best performances of the season, completing 28 of 41 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Freshman Kenny Darby became his top target with 12 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown, while Nic Anderson added 80 yards and a score.
Kentucky's defense helped change the game by forcing and recovering two fumbles. Grant Godfrey led the Wildcats with nine tackles and a sack, while Sam Greene forced both turnovers.
In overtime, Minchey connected with Henry Boyer for a touchdown before Will Stein kept the offense on the field. Minchey found Willie Rodriguez for the game-winning two-point conversion.
The comeback was the largest road comeback in Kentucky history, while Stein became the first Kentucky head coach to win his first two SEC road games. UK Athletics
Despite entering the weekend ranked No. 24, Kentucky dropped just outside the new AP Top 25 at No. 26. The Wildcats won't have to wait long for another opportunity to make a statement.
