Stable Sports was founded in Frankfort, Kentucky by Austin Stuckey, an alumnus of Kentucky State University.

As a freelance sports photojournalist working between two nationally recognized programs, University of Louisville and University of Kentucky, Austin often faced a frustrating reality: access was limited without the backing of an established media outlet. Talent wasn’t the issue. Credentials were.

 

So he built his own platform.

The Stable, the flagship sports blog of Stable Sports, was created to bridge the gap between independent creatives and big-time sporting events. It provides freelancers, interns, writers, photographers, and storytellers with a legitimate platform, one that opens doors instead of closing them.

The name “Stable” is rooted in Kentucky’s rich heritage, a state known for tradition, grit, and championship culture. Just as a stable develops strong, competitive athletes, Stable Sports develops driven storytellers prepared to make their mark.
