TWO ATHLETES. TWO NATIONAL CHAMPS. 3RD IN THE NATION.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Centre College women’s track and field team delivered one of the most impressive performances of the weekend at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Represented by just two athletes, the Colonels made the most of every event and walked away with a third-place team finish in the nation, competing against programs that brought full rosters to the national stage.

Serena McNeilly led the way with a dominant showing across multiple events. McNeilly captured the national championship in the women’s pentathlon, posting an outstanding 3,782 points. She followed that performance with another title in the high jump, clearing 1.79 meters to secure her second national championship of the meet.

Chloe Hein also made history for Centre in Birmingham. Hein won the women’s long jump national championship with a leap of 6.25 meters, a mark that now stands as the NCAA Division III all-time record in the event.

Throughout the meet, Hein and McNeilly competed in several events, consistently scoring points and representing Centre on the national stage. Their performances highlighted both their versatility and competitive drive.

By the end of the weekend, the duo had accomplished something remarkable: two national championships, a record-setting jump, and a third-place team finish in the nation.

For Centre College, it was a historic showing that proved the Colonels belong among the best programs in Division III track and field.
