HISTORY MADE: KINGS EARN FIRST HOME WIN IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Louisville Kings made history Saturday afternoon, earning the first home win in franchise history with a thrilling 33-30 victory over the DC Defenders at Lynn Family Stadium. In the Kings’ inaugural season, the expansion team delivered a memorable moment for the city and its fans.

Louisville’s offense came through with big plays all game long. Quarterback Chandler Rogers threw for 143 yards and a touchdown while managing the game in key moments. Isaiah Winstead led the receiving group with 92 yards and a touchdown, giving the Kings a major spark through the air. James Robinson also added a rushing touchdown as Louisville continued to move the chains offensively.

Special teams helped change the game early. Tyler Hudson electrified the crowd with a 92-yard kickoff return touchdown that shifted momentum back toward Louisville after DC scored on its opening drive. Kicker Tanner Brown also drilled a huge 60-yard four-point field goal, one of the biggest kicks in franchise history.

Defensively, the Kings continued to pressure DC throughout the afternoon. Louisville recorded four sacks and forced key mistakes against one of the top teams in the UFL. Head coach Chris Redman also deserves credit for keeping the team focused in a high-pressure game as the Kings secured back-to-back wins.
