BELMONT SPOTLIGHT: GOLDEN TEMPO LEADS KENTUCKY CHARGE

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The countdown to the Belmont Stakes is officially on, and Kentucky-bred horses are once again leading the spotlight heading into one of horse racing’s biggest weekends on June 6.
Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo has quickly become one of the favorites to win the Belmont after an impressive run during the Triple Crown season. Trained by Cherie DeVaux, Golden Tempo continues to build momentum and has become one of the most talked-about horses in the country.
Golden Tempo will not be the only Kentucky horse to watch. Renegade, trained by Todd Pletcher, is expected to be a major challenger after a strong spring campaign. Commandment and Emerging Market have also emerged as serious contenders heading toward Saratoga.
Nearly every top horse on this year’s Triple Crown trail was foaled and raised in Kentucky, continuing the Bluegrass State’s dominance in horse racing. From championship trainers to elite breeding farms, Kentucky remains the center of the sport.
As race day gets closer, fans across the country will be watching to see if Golden Tempo can continue his incredible season and bring another major victory back to the Bluegrass State.
