Y'ALLS HOLD OFF WINDY CITY, WIN 13-12 IN FLORENCE

FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Y’alls found a way to get it done Wednesday night, holding off a late rally from Windy City to earn a thrilling 13-12 victory at home.

Florence answered every challenge in a back-and-forth offensive battle. The Y’alls scored five runs in the first inning and added six more in the fourth to build enough cushion for the win.

The offense came through in key moments. Brett Blomquist delivered one of the biggest swings of the night with a three-run home run and finished with four RBIs. Garrett Broussard added three RBIs, while Brendan Bobo drove in two runs. Florence collected timely hits despite being out-hit 17-8, making the most of their opportunities throughout the game.

Defensively, the Y’alls turned two double plays that helped stop potential rallies and keep momentum on their side. On the mound, Chase Hopewell provided valuable middle relief, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings, while Aidan McEvoy closed the door in the ninth to earn his eighth save of the season.
