CATS SHINE BRIGHT AT HOME WITH SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS APPROACHING

LEXINGTON, KY - No. 22 Kentucky Gymnastics closed out its regular season with a strong performance Friday night, posting a 197.225 at Historic Memorial Coliseum. With the SEC Championships just over a week away in Tulsa, the Cats showed they’re ready to compete at a high level.

Kentucky started strong on vault, hitting a season-high 49.350. Senior Anna Flynn Cashion led the way with a stuck 9.950, her third vault title of the season, setting the tone for a confident lineup.

The uneven bars were steady with a 49.100, highlighted by Cecily Rizo and returning senior Isabella Rivelli, who combined for consistent routines to keep Kentucky in rhythm.

Balance beam brought one of the night’s highlights. Anchor Delaynee Rodriguez delivered a near-perfect 9.950, her career-high and 17th event win this season, energizing the team and crowd as well.

The floor exercise capped off the night with a team-high 49.500, the Cats’ first score of 49.500 this season. Creslyn Brose closed the rotation with a 9.950, adding to the team’s depth and momentum.

Seniors stepped up all night, showing leadership and consistency. Head coach Tim Garrison has the Cats building confidence at the right time, heading into postseason competition.

Kentucky now turns its focus to the SEC Championships in Tulsa on March 21, carrying this performance and energy into what looks to be an exciting postseason.
